Electrocardiogram

This noninvasive test helps detect heart disease by providing your cardiologist with precise information about the electrical activity of your heart.

Before the Test

There are no special preparations for an electrocardiogram.

During the Test

A technician will attach electrodes to your chest to record your heart’s electrical activity.

After the Test

After the procedure your cardiologist will review the results with you. There are no risks associated with an EKG test.
