Level One Locations

The goal the Level 1 heart attack program of the Minneapolis Heart Institute and Abbott Northwestern Hospital is to allow the safe transfer of patients requiring angioplasty in 90 minutes or less. This patient transfer time begins at the first medical contact, and ends at the time the first balloon is inflated or stent placed in the patient at Abbott Northwestern Hospital. The Level 1 Heart Attack protocol of MHI and Abbott Northwestern is the first of its kind.
